JEff Luhnow, new president, Victoria Pavón, former president and Felipe Moreno, former vice president confirmed at a press conference the sale of Club Deportivo Leganés to Blue Crow Sports Group, led by Luhnow.
All parties have stated that the decision comes from putting the Lega in good hands, with oneAn ambitious project that comes with the hope of doing something big in Butarque and that it lasts over time. Luhnow wanted to start by thanking the previous presidents for the work done in the club and the trust he has.
“I would like to thank Victoria and Felipe, with whom I have spoken since September 2. And hopefully we can continue what they did here. I am aware of the responsibility we take responsibility for this club and we take it very seriously. I represent very serious people who love sports “, admits the businessman. “I have met many people nowadays and I have known the pepinero feeling. We have the love to grow the club. We have followed Leganés for a long time and that was the club we wanted. We want to win every match, but success is not short-term. If you only do that, you are sacrificing the future for the present. This does not mean that the challenge will not always be to win and win the league in any category. but we have to compete in other ways in a big way, be smarter and smoother and invest in young people. We have the resources to invest in sports and infrastructure. We will use a lot of technology that we are sure can help. We are here to take Leganés forward and be constant over time ”.
Former President Victoria Pavón, sensibly moved, spoke in a few words about her feeling of leaving Leganés. “After thirteen seasons where it has been a great honor to preside over the Lega, I say goodbye to you all. You have to leave the new projects and now I feel like a fan. What we have experienced has made people from other parts of the world interested in Leganés. Now the city of Leganés must show them what a hobby it is. And together they show that the best for Leganés has not yet been lived out ”. The vice president, Felipe Moreno, was the most categorical on the issue of the new owners. “I’m sure they are the most capable of dealing with Leganés. I have not the slightest doubt about that.” At 17.00 he confirmed Luhnow it will be the presentation of Imanol Idiakez and that he will express what made him choose him as the new coach of Leganés.
