Russian teams are not in the THY Euroleague in the 2022-2023 season either! Obradovic is back

The 18 teams that will compete in the THY Euroleague in the 2022-2023 season have been announced. Serbian team Partizan and Spanish representative Valencia Basket joined Euroleague with wildcard. Russian teams will not be able to take part in the Euroleague in the 2022-2023 season.

As a result of the meeting held today, Euroleague management determined the teams that will take place in the 2022-2023 season. In the statement made about the meeting on the official website of Euroleague, it was announced that the situation of the Russian teams in the 2022-2023 season was discussed and they would not be able to participate for another year. According to the decision, CSKA Moscow, Zenit and UNICS Kazan will not play in the Euroleague next season. It was stated that Serbian team Partizan, coached by head coach Zeljko Obradovic, and Spanish representative Valencia Basket also received wildcards.

In the 2022-2023 season of THY Euroleague, ALBA Berlin, A. Efes, AS Monaco, Olimpia Milano, Baskonia, Red Star, Barcelona, ​​Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce Beko, LDLC Asvel Villeurbanne, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Partizan, Real Madrid, Valencia Basket, Virtus Bologna and Zalgiris Kaunas will have teams.
